Not sure if this will be of use to anyone.

Start by slackening off wheels nuts.

Jack up rear of vehicle and support on axel stands.

Remove wheel, then undo the screw that holds the drum in postion. (Screw at 3 o'clock position in photo)

Next undo the 2 11mm bolts that hold on the shoe anchor plate.

Remove anchor plate.

Now Lever out both brake shoes, I found the top easiest to do first.

With the brakes shoes off, and if like me you had to replace adjusters, grind or cut the top of the adjuster bolt on the inside of the drum assembly off.

Once ground of replace with new adjuster and associated fixings in the order of Adjuster bolt, anchor plate, spring, silver washer with cut edge forward, washer, adjuster, locking bolt.
BE SURE TO PUT ADJUSTER ON SO IT LOOKS LIKE A NUMBER NINE!!this will make things easier when you come to adjust brakes in the future .

Next clean up drum and anchor plate with wire brush to remove any dirt mud rust etc etc. And check brake pistons for free movement and rubber and seals for perishing or damage.

Next re-fit shoes, now the rear shoes have the leading and trailing set-up which is easy to distinguish on the SWB as ONLY the LEADING shoe has the adjuster peg, I put this shoe on first as it makes life easier. As the top spring (long spring) holds it in place wgile you fit trailing shoe.

Next fit trailing shoe (no adjuster peg) and make sure both shoes are sitting flat and square against the back plate.

Next refit small anchor plate on bottom of the brakes shoes remembering to put a small smear of copper ease on the bolts to aid removal next time. The re-fit drum and copper ease the securing screw. Refit wheel again remebering to copper ease the wheel nuts.

To adjust your new brakes turn the new adjuster bolt on the back of the anchor plate clockwise until the wheel will not turn, then slacken off by two notches. Brakes adjusted, make sure wheel goes round freely if not slcken of another notch, if to free tighten by one notch. I found 2 notches to be just right.

Now lower vehicle to the ground and torque up wheels nuts to required tightness.

Now repeat on other side.

I have stopped using photobucket and just host them straight from the computer less hassle.

I thought it was better to use something like photbucket as it saves room on the forum server.

if you sign up for a picassa account (google) not only do you store the pics on your own pc but you can store them and link to them on googles server

http://picasa.google.com/

failing that you can use windows live drive similar to above link to your MSM account
