Private messaging people

Does anybody else have issue with there Pm function like messages sitting in the outbox for ages before they are sent or anything similiar.
As I have been trying to pm people and most of the PM's are sitting in the outbox and not sending or taking hours to be sent.

Private messages will sit in your outbox until the recipitent reads the message, then it will appear in your sent box
