How to remove a discovery gearbox
It is said to be straight forward to do this, but to a novice it can be a daunting task.
I have never done it before, so today was a first, but it was done in 3 easy steps, using just 4 tools.
Tool one:
The digger
used to get the vehicle int the appropriate position.
Once in this position it allows access to remove the gearbox crossmember, for which you will need tool number two:
The noisy Spanner
immediately after this stage you will need to use tool number 4 (miss out 3):
The bigger hammer (3 is just not big enough):
And finally the final tool, the crane:
There, job done, I don't know what all the fuss had been about, you can easily do the same!!
