i was out in one of our trucks today disco tdi that was done.what a difference from a standard one it had a straight threw exhaust and a after market intercooler. we also have a 110 that is done as well and that is just mad.we do all our own work remaping the ecu and its very easy and quit cheep as well

thats the thing all you do is reset the ecu parameters . the factory sets them all at reduced performance.

Actually, My sister and her Husband have both had their Freelander2 and Discovery3 chipped, the difference in performance is quite noticable.

I'm not sure what the fuel consumption was like beforehand, and haven't driven the Freelander much, but the D3 I've driven a lot, and on a run from Bushmills in Northern Ireland back to here it only managed 24mpg (its a tdv6) which I thought was pretty shocking considering I didn't once break the speed limit!

brother in law had his desial vaxhall vectra done bottom end power has increased and so has mpg i know not the same but i thought it was a comparison.

also heard thet the td5 engine in the 90 is the same as in the range rovers but power is chiped back on the ecu as they could not have a 90 going as fast as the range rover it would not look good. scratch
