i have had to put my disco build off for a few weeks Crying or Very sad
i was driving home last week in my Mercedes, when i had a small encounter with a hump back bridge.i was on my way to deliver some land rover parts on my way home from work. i was driving at {just above idle}85mph yes i no i was speeding and i have 6 points to say that i have been caught a few times Laughing Laughing
it was a small back road with plenty of vision all around a few small bends but nothing to make me slow down any i seen a sign for a hump back bridge, i had a quick look and decide it was not worth slowing for and stamped on the loud pedal as i was needing just slightly more speed {yes yes i no but i just love speed its a adrenalin kick for me }so up came the front of my car and down at the rear a quick check to see no other cars or any one on foot was coming the other way i lined up and held on,well it was fantastic i never felt the bridge it just went quiet very quiet and it lasted for a lot longer than i was expecting i was a good 4 feet of the ground travelling at a touch over stupid speed i was very surprised at the length of time and the distance that i flew and the landing was lets say interesting but it was smack in the middle of the road Twisted Evil
so to the not so fun bit on arriving at the garage that i was delivering parts to i was not able to get the gear stick
out of drive it was stuck so i just stuck on the hand brake and delivered the parts came out and drove home.i had a quick look when it was parked in the drive and noticed that my front anti roll bar was snapped and had imbeded
its self in my sump and a split in the front bumper plus the gear box was f####d up so it will cost me around £1500 to put it right but it serves me right.before i start getting told that it was wrong to speed and i should no better Embarassed Embarassed I DO NOT CONDONE SPEEDING AND I NO IT WAS STUPID the wife said i did it on purpose just to get my disco on the road sooner Twisted Evil

Sometime you gotta do something dumb and dangerouse just to feel alive every now and again.

I did something similar in a H reg 318 bmw sent the rear shocks throught the boot and hit the road with an orange flash i was only going to chineses take away but that little hump bridge been asking for me to do it for months anyway got my dinner went home and had a good curry and spring rolls with a bottle of irn bru, I do not regret it yes it cost me the car but hey why buy them if you can`t break them Wink

Nothing wrong with a bit of speed now and again but this one was a little bit costly on the wallet lol!
