I have no idea where to start.
Anyone says get shot of him and buy something with coils and I'll cry.
I'm going to need alot of help with this.

Chassis is bent I hit a clio. Need to wait until after christmas before I can buy a new one. Body work all ok. Engine is out. He is sitting at my work stripped down to his bulkhead. I have a 200tdi for him and the gearbox and overdrive should be ok with that. Its at the idea stage just now. I'm worried about the more power but still rubbish brakes thing. If I put the 200tdi in him will I have to do something to make the brakes better?
He does have a habbit of running into things. Rolling Eyes

if planning to use the tdi on series box it is recomended that you take the turbo off as it appentley can give problems when the turbo kicks in it is too much for the gear box.
try this link:-

http://www.glencoyne.co.uk/200di.htm

try this for disc covention:-

http://www.expeditionlandrover.info/discBrake_Torrel.htm

I'll actually be attempting a 200tdi conversion shortly too, do you already have an engine?

It depends what your long term plans are, it's actually a lot easier just to do away with the intercooler, it has a similar taming effect, but can make a massive difference as an easy later upgrade if you want it.
I know of a guy running a 200tdi in a 1952 series one complete with turbo but no intercooler, and it's working well.

Fair enough i was just going on what i had read up on as i had a 109 at the time that i was planning the conversion but never did it as i was offered stupid amout off money for most of the body and engine, with bulkhead and chassie being shot i took it and bought the new one lol!

Yes I have the engine. Well my friend has the engine at his house until I'm ready for it. He has another 3 I think if your looking for one I think he is selling them.
I was told to get a frontiera intercooler. The other thing I was thinking was Leafs over axles and spacers to make it more stable or is that going to him to rolly polly?
