my disco td5 1999 has no difflock,could you please tell me cheapest way to convert please,not fussed in using 2nd had parts. thank you. p.s you may not no me,but my uncle colin stewart was a former member.

Hi Mike, What year is your disco?
Some of the earlier series 2's (up to about March 2001) had the complete centre diff lock mechanism in the transfer case, but it wasn't connected because the belief was that traction control made it redundant.
Ashcroft transmissions would be the folk to speak to about getting it connected, they can also supply the whole lot for your t box if it's not already there.

hi there all i did on my one is get the top of a r380 300tdi disco box and the linkages etc put it on and it works great mines a march 2001 ive just got arb diff lockers front and rear for my one too cheers colin

i will go and look in the scrappies at evanton at the weekend i know theres a disco there.
