SHOW 'n' SHINE, Elgin
Hi guys
I have been approached by the event organiser of the show 'n' shine car show on the 6th june, Elgin. He has asked for a different aspect this year.... nice big modified 4x4's and asked me if i knew anyone that would be interested in going.
Heres a wee bit from the email he sent me -
"SHOW N SHINE: Show ‘n’ shine is open to smart, clean, cool modern cars that have
been modified with body kits, alloy wheels, unusual paintwork, or ‘ICE’. All vehicles
must comply with all aspects of current road traffic legislation including vehicle
roadworthiness, insurance, and taxation. All drivers must hold the appropriate license for
the vehicle they are driving. Vehicles will be on display at The Cooper Park from 1230 to
1600. Access to the park is via the Cathedral Entrance. Arrivals will be accepted from
10.30am. Prizes will be awarded at 3.30pm. The organisers would ask that you remain
on site until 4pm. The organisers accept no responsibility for vehicles or property
participating in the event."
So thats the deal.
There is a form you have to fill out and send back with the entrance fee (£5) before we go so email me doug_las_m@hotmail.com and i will pass it on to you. All the money from the entrance fees goes to charity.
Im propsing meeting at Big Tesco at the retail park Inverness at 9.00-9.15 leaving at 9.30am and convoy through the road to elgin.
All our vehicles will be in one stand together. This will give us a chance to show off all our hard work done to our vehicles and see the other cars there.
Should be a good day out
Let me know guys

Re: SHOW 'n' SHINE, Elgin
Aye, spot on. Shouldn't be too busy at the back of ten on a sunday either hopefully!
Re: SHOW 'n' SHINE, Elgin
I'm up for this! Sounds like a good way of getting to see the show and being a part of it too.
So how many have you got signed up, Doug?
I think we could make a bit of a display of this, a few logs and a couple of couple of highlift jacks, what do ya think?

Yeah, I don't think they will put us in wi the show and shine either. I was looking at the layout for the show and we will probably be in the agricultural section. At least then some of these old tractors will make my auld beast sound sweet!!

To show a different aspect? Some of the "pollishing types" at the show will probably have a heart attack with the amount of crud on my landy!
