need advise??
Someone will know (i hope )
Going to mull for chalange evet next sat just been reading over msa rules:-
* battery is under seat that is bolted down it says to mark earth wire with yellow strip, I can do this but there is no quick way into it to cut if needed. Does this matter?
*will i need to fit a isolation switch for possitive feed?
*will i have to fit mud flaps?
* need to fit two high up rear facing red lights?
* do i need to fit an extra grab handle for passanger or will the standard one on the defender dash do?
there is bound to be more any advise welcome as this is a lot to wade through befor wed night.
thanks all

Re: need advise??
You need to get a copy of the organisers suplementary regs and read them in asscociation with the general regs (MSA Bluebook) and see whats required.
A quickcall to the events scrutineer will also help, remember they are happy to help you, their not out to catch you out.
A battery isolator is a good thing whether you compete or not.

Dont worry !
The regs are a guide for speed and specials etc - most are not obligitory in our events. Having the battery tied down is common sense, as are seat belts ! As we have no classes - i.e. , specials, standards, modified etc, no one will be entering at different levels. The permit from the MSA is for club insurance in case someone sets fire to the hill or polutes a river etc. It is more of a public liability cover.
Dont get bogged down with the wee blue book - unless you are going to do the Scottish Hill Rally.
