Safe lift high before cranked arms
Thinking of lifting defender but not wanting down the road of cranked trailling arms or fancy props i was thinking of +2" springs, shocks and flexy brake lines. Has anyone done this and had no problems or is this just a bad idea without cranked arms etc.

Re: Safe lift high before cranked arms
You dont neet to modify anything for a 2" lift any more you have to do bits and bobs
Re: Safe lift high before cranked arms
I wouldnt waste your time buying too many fancy bits. What is the purpose of it being lifted..??
Asthetics? Then all you really need is lifting blocks under the springs....
To gain flex? Cheap and simple, make yourself some lifting blocks, then make some dislocation cones (reversed turrets trimmed and welded works) then get yourself some plus 4"- plus 6" shocks, rough country ones from david llama or gwyn lewis.
Bit of both? Make some lifting blocks, put plus 2" shocks on front or if u lift the spring seat stick with standard shocks, then make some dislocation cones for the rear and get some plus 6" rough country shocks on...
Don't spend money on a + 2" kit, for what little you gain it ain't really worth it.
Just my 2 cents...
