Defender 2" Lift
Hi guys,
Planning a 2 inch lift for the defender, was looking at springs and shocks from paddocks.
Would i need extended brake hoses aswell or would the standard ones be fine?
Anything else i would need to do this?
Cheers.

Hi
i would really recomend that if you get two inch springs of whatever make, go for the plus 5.5 inch shocks. terrafirma do them along with old man emu and pro-comp though dont think their great seal wise.
Google Gwyn lewis 4x4 and have a look at what he has got. a great bloke and fantastic service.
it may cost you a bit more for the longer shocks and new mounts as they use pin - pin but improve articulation ten fold.
as H109 has suggested brake lines would need doing.
have you thought about weight of your vehicle what your going to add on? winch/s, roll cage etc maybe in the future?
if i was to start again i would put a 1 inch lift and raise the seat boxes three or so inches in the back and have the plus 5.5 shocks. but thats alot of work.
without doubt Old Man Emu is the best suspension setup you could buy!
hth jack.
