my 90 300tdi,
hi, there are 4 pics on here, 2 are of basically when the vehicle came to me (as standard) though shes got a few bruises and two are of ongoing progress, homemade side exit exhaust replacing the rear silencer, and welding up the rear x member for an mot though it looks pretty distant at the moment. cheers jack.

Re my 90 rocksliders
hi steve, will post some photos over the weekend of the progress, i am using some rectangular 4mm thick box measuring 100mm deep by 60mm wide and ive not finished the length yet but about 66 inchs. i had to grind a wee chunk of the bottom of the bulkhead to make it fit straight and true with the body, the plan is to use the bolt holding the outrigger to the bulkhead to secure the back of the slider with two brackets at the front and at the back to use the tubular rigger for jacking etc, using a piece of pipe dia 42mm which is big hammer tight fit and go through the slider as to then have a jacking tube on the outside of the slider will post plenty pics. hoping theyl be strong enough to fend of the most brutal nock, cheers.

Re my 90
Thanks for the remarks, yeh it is taking shape, slowly. though its taken nearly two days to get one slider nearly completed, still got to weld the tube in and align it with the chassis tube, had to offset it high otherwise half the tube would be through the bottom of the slider, im sure im guna have to tow a fuel bowser behind cos of the weight. will keep the photos coming, the photo of the finished weld doesnt do it justice it does look relly good to the eye. hope the welding is strong enough only had the welder a month! that fronty is guna be a tool keep it coming too and the disco too, have you got a super gaz suspension lift clunkyknox? what like is it if you have? cheers

Re my 90 300tdi
Yeh your very rite chap, since ive chopped the ends off and welded it up it doesnt look half as big as they did. i have had a busy weekend, one is nearly finished though im guna template it to the other one before i fix it on. there strong in a very strong way, ones ive seen for sale on the internet only have one bracket on the front and are made out of 3 mm box, so fink mine should stand up to plenty of boot . good weekend away?

Aye, got pretty much everything done I wanted to, but was late home so haven't had the chance to sort the disco suspension before her ladyship has to use it again tomorrow... never mind, it'll slow her down in the potholes!
Re my 90
Have you got shocks to go back on? if yours are b*~**#*, you want me to strip mine out? you can have them, though think ile have to re weld the studs at the top there crusty rusty, up2 u, its only sitting there gathering dust. yours is having a challenge with that road. cheers

Re: my 90 300tdi,
I'll need to get a proper look tomorrow, it might actually be the lower mounts that have rotted out, I didn't think both shocks were that bad! If you're scrapping yours anyway I'll take them, certainly don't bin them! cheers!
Re: my 90 300tdi,
You have made a cracking job of them mate its going to look great when its done really impresed on how well you have made them keep it up cant wait to see more.
Re my 90 300tdi
Hi steve thanks for the comments, i they are coming on, will try and post sum photos over the weekend if the rain holds off. had a bit of a problem with lineing up the chassis tube with the slider as the sliders are not deep enough to allow the tube to go through, otherwise they would protude the bottom and stopping "rocks" from sliding freely, one photo has a pic of 2 notched and welded tubes providing that allignment, but many rainy nights with pen and paper might have come up with a stronger and easier solution will keep updated. cheers en.
